Presidential race isn't the most important on this year's ballot

With everything that’s happened in the past four weeks, it’s no surprise that much of our attention has been focused on national politics this summer.

Yet, here in Wyoming, there are political contests that deserve much more of our attention. From this past Tuesday through Aug. 20, voters are being asked to choose among candidates for U.S. Congress, state legislature, county commission and more. And in a state where Republicans far outnumber Democrats, it’s often the primary election where candidates are chosen, not the general.
